What is the R-410A phase-out timeline?
Under EPA's Technology Transitions rule (AIM Act of 2020), manufacture and import of new residential split-system air conditioners and heat pumps using refrigerants above 700 GWP — which includes R-410A at roughly 2,088 — was prohibited from 1 January 2025.
